Hyperlinks Question???

I am trying to hyperlink all the web sites that I have posted in the forums. For some reason, I cannot get it to work on AOL or Internet Explorer (IE) on my laptop.

I read up on hyperlinks and tried to type http//then web site page and highlight; but to no avail. I guess that I am TC (Techie Challenged??)


Husband showed me and it works on other computers not just on my laptop. I researched in some reference books but cannot figure it out?? Pleeeze help??

I did not want to wait until hubby gets home from office. I do not want to have to keep typing information the way that I have been lately. Appreciate any assistance!

When replying to a post there is a small tool bar at the top. One of the icons on this tool bar looks like a "world with a figure 8" on it.

Highlight the text within your post that you want to hyperlink, then click this "world" icon on the tool bar.

This will bring up a dialog window that allows you to cut and paste the actual URL. When you then hit OK, it will make the highlighted text hyperlinked to the URL you cut and pasted into the dialog window.

If this is what you're trying to do and it doesn't work on your laptop, I am not sure what the conflict is.

I just completed hyperlinking ALL web sites in my threads and posts. Don't think I missed any--if you see any--let me know and I will correct.

Must have have too too many late nights with twins and end of term finals. I finished my last final late last night and (cross fingers??) received an A or B? I will let you know!
