As you may have seen on TV, 7 time Tour de France winner and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong has turned his attention to awareness about cancer research with the 2005 Bristol-Myers Squibb Tour of Hope. On October 8th, he will be leading the final leg of a 3300 mile ride across the US that concludes in Washington DC.

I will be one of 1,500 cyclists that will join Lance in the Tour of Hope DC Fundraising Ride to benefit cancer research. I will be riding 50-miles from Maryland to the Ellipse near the White House for the triumphant arrival of Lance and the Tour of Hope National Team for the Tour of Hope Finale.

If you would like to support this worthy cause, I’d appreciate it you would visit my ride website and make a pledge. I would also like to thank all of you who have contributed to the Katrina recovery effort. I have friends and neighbors whose families have been directly affected by the recent gulf coast storms.
