Kids Breaking into Cars

I saw a group of four boys (teenagers) break into a car tonight at the intersection of Vestals Gap and Chickakoan at 9:00 pm. Police have been notified. If your son was out at this time, please question them about their activities. One of the boys had a white shirt on with the black string backpack.

 

I believe these were the same 4 boys setting off fireworks in the neighborhoods. Had the same backpack on. Sheriff was called but I continued to hear the fireworks.

 

They also busted a mailbox next to the house where they robbed the car.

 

WOW! Summer hasn't even started yet!

 

How do we warn these kids that there are some potentially serious consequences?

One of these nights they will get caught by the homeowner, before the police arrive, and these kids may be faced with a "judge & jury" response.

 

i think you answred your own question- one gets rough justice, word spreads, a few knuckleheads might think twice before vanadlising. but some won't and will only learn after being caught and punished.

 

Sometime over the weekend some cars were broken into in Ashburn Village. I guess the teenage boredom season has begun. Lock your cars and don't leave your iPhone, Garmin, and XM radios sitting in plain sight. It's a crime of opportunity.
