You might want to look into Golden Pond in Farmwell Hunt. We had a good experience with them and it'll save you a lot of money over Bean Tree. I imagine you know this, but it's best to visit anywhere you're seriously considering and feel the vibe yourself.

In the interests of full disclosure, my parents help us pay for Beantree.

Daily lessons in music, computers, and Spanish also offered at our place (all included in the price)

Cleaning staff as well that comes in after hours.

Multiple directors on site as well.

Several outdoor playgrounds and water area for the summer, but no indoor gym...I'll give you that.

No specific vegetable garden, but they do plant things in cups, leave them along the windows to watch them grow.

Kids are happy to be there and learning is fun for them.

Honestly, you'll hear this from just about every parent at a majority of centers are going to say the same thing (their children are happy, their center offers the same thing as the rest of the centers).

Beantree does offer one thing the other centers do not - diapers and wipes for the infants/toddlers, but how does that help a parent who does not use that particular diaper or wipe? It doesn't because you'd still have to supply your own, but still pay the same prices.

Oh, and don't forget the fancy childsize haircutting chair. For the prices you pay there all haircuts should be free and you should be able to get all the t-shirts you want for free. Not just the first one.

But, as long as your child is happy and you are happy and comfortable that's all that matters.

Liz - your points are EXACTLY why we are on the BeanTree waiting list.

Over the past 7months I've visited 11+ times, spoken to many parents and their kids. To me having many children take my hand to give me a tour of "my school" just proves how proud & happy they are.

Granted it is steep tuition and not everyone can afford it, but for us it's the right decision for our toddler.

My son has been going to BeanTree for almost 2 years. The diapers, ointment, and wipes provision is absolutely awesome--but you do get to pick out your preferred brands and they stick to it pretty well, especially in the infant and young toddlers rooms--in the early preschool room it sometimes varies, but then again I don't get upset by it.

We also like BeanTree's extended hours (just in case we need them) and absolutely love the directors and employees. We consider them family and hope our next baby (coming next spring) will be able to attend BeanTree as well!

All this talk about Beantree makes me feel like I have tour the place. Anyone know the current rate for a 2 year old?

Also curious to know if a cleaning staff on site the whole day reduces the number of times kids get sick during the year.

The cleaning staff DEFINITELY reduces the spread and number of illnesses.
