(I'm posting here because the Homeowners Corner of the Forum does not receive much traffic.)

Can anybody recommend a professional contractor for landscaping and patio work? I've got your typical Pulte landscaping--nondescript bushes planted too close to the house, elevated deck that cuts off the yard--and want to relandscape and rebuild.

I really need a professional, full-time company. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Actually, the homeowner's corner does receive alot of traffic ... whenever someone posts there.

I used Landscape Associates, Inc (www.landscapeassociates.biz). They don't do their own decks, but recommend a very meticulous builder, Bouchain Builders. Neither company is inexpensive, so if you want quick, fast and under $10,000 for a single family home, look elsewhere.

In the interests of full disclosure. Landscape Associates hired me to do their website, but it was a few years after the yard was done.

You may want to talk with Bluemont Nursery. We really liked them. Unfortunately I don't remember the guys name that we talked to - but they are all really good. Good luck!

Do you have the contact info for Bluemont? I'm having a websearch issue and can't find it. Were they comparible or expensive?

That would be because I didn't type it right - sorry! Their number is (703) 729-6600. They charged us $75 just to come out and look at the property and offer us suggestions. It was actually really informative.

I know they do very large (and hence very $$) projects, but am not sure how their cost compares to others in the area. Hope that helps!

Meadows Farms also does Landscape design. You can take photos in to them and get designs done for free or I think it's $25 and they'll come visit and do a deign plan.
My parents recently had them do a lot of work - good qaulity and were happy with the final results.

In the interest of "full disclosure" I worked for them in high school.......
