Around 3am Thursday morning the winds were very strong and unfortunately one of our shutters was ripped from the siding. We found pieces of a green shutter and red shutter in our yard, so we were not the only victims. If you haven't looked, you may want to walk around your home to see if everything is still in secure.

Our shutter was on the upper level of the home and not easily accessible to examine until I have some time this weekend. Are there any recommendations on what to look for as far as damage? I'm not sure I want to go through an insurance claim if all we lost one shutter but if there is siding damage or holes in the siding that could have some water leakage, that's another situation.

    thanks.
