I know I am going to get blasted here however...

I run the toll. I have been for years. I hate getting robbed for using the Greenway from exit 7, about 2 miles. Especially since it's the same price to go to Leesburg.

I use a Strealth plate cover and it works perfectly. And since I have a common car it is nearly impossible to track me down.

And until the prices come down I will continue running the Greenway toll booth.

Heh. I know people will say it's wrong (me included), but there is a part of me that is all for the plate cover approach. Do you ever get held up by the gate arms, or are they always up during rush hour(s)?

Always open during rush hour. And if they are being monitered by law enforcement I do have an transponder in the glove compartment.

So your justification for running the toll is that you feel you are being robbed. Kettle, meet pot since you are "robbing" from the Greenway.

I'm surprised you feel like you are being robbed when you are the one committing a crime.

Complain all you want about the price of the toll road -- you are free to choose not to use it. But you are not free to steal from the Greenway just because you think it is too expensive.

BTW, by posting in a public forum, you've just made it a lot easier for them to track you down. I think getting blasted in the forums is the least of your worries.

At $500 per offense (after the first 3), about how many times would say you you've run the toll, since you've been doing it for "years"? Dozens? Hundreds?

I don't even know what one of those covers are, but it's dishonest what you're doing. I don't like the high tolls either on the Greedway, but I don't drive on them.
