Ugh. Yes, I'm serious. You don't just have sex and not expect the end result to be a baby, but a gift from on high!

If children are a 'gift from god', who are muslim kids a gift from? And hindu kids? And buhdist kids? Children are the result of a rather thoroughly researched and documented biological/scientific process that happens the same for everyone on the planet, regardless of your deity preference.

Lee you complain about the lack of affordable housing in the County and meanwhile you design fabulous custom homes that most of us couldn't afford much less the "trade people" you want to house and do so with some of the most disjointed sentence structure that is almost impossible to follow and trying to gives me a headache and think that you must have missed some of those classes in junior high that taught the use of one of the most important puncuation marks in writing and that's known as a period because you don't seem to use too many and that makes for some of the longest sentences I've ever read and after reading some of your posts from overnight this morning I already have to take 3 Exedrin and go lay back down.

While I agree with some (SOME!) of what Lee had to say earlier in the thread, I've skipped reading the majority of his posts simply because they're too long and hard to read/follow coherently. I agree, it makes my head hurt.

I like your sentence, Dutch. :)

Below the Quick Reply box you are using to type, there's a button labled "Go Advanced". From now on, click on that button whenever you're going to post something. On the Advanced edit screen, you'll see a "Preview Post" button. Use that to preview what you typed and how it will look to all of us reading it.

Not sure you really want your postings to give us an insight as to why you express yourself... :p

And all the gloom and doom you spread here is helping make Loudoun a better place how? If I was someone from another town reading these forums in order to get an insight on the area, your postings would truly turn me away from ever coming here. I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with our area, but a little bit of "light at the end of the tunnel" from you a few times would go a long way. Problem is, you've now been labled a "doom and gloom" poster by many people here, which will make it that much harder for you to become a little bit more 'positive'.

Dutchml I followed your long sentence just perfectly. ;-)

I know what you all are saying about my grammar etc. Yes, I really would like for you all to follow what I say sometimes without headaches. Believe me I am the first to say my writing at times sucks.

The issues that bother me I feel are important not just our area but for the entire country. Affordable housing is an issue everywhere, but even more so in the area of the nations capital which includes us. It is a shame at thirty miles from downtown or more we have an affordable housing issue. Most of northern virginia does!!! Not just construction workers but teachers and all in the service industry. My wife teaches. and she does so because she likes it, but it is a shame she could not live like she does on her income or even close. She teaches the very young, preschool at AOL which I think are about 4 & 5.
She is also horrified when she see's very young children play in the street. I bet those same parents would be horrified if her school allowed their kids to play in the aol parking lot at the school. That lot is even fenced and guarded. Yet some of these same parents, allow their kids to play in the street in front of their homes even with supervision is crazy!!! Does not make sense.

How do you insert those icons, everytime I do it ends up in the title.

Also where do you get the icons not listed????

    Thanks

    Lee

Yes at times I have designed affordable housing. The designing and building is the easy part, finding the land is the tough part. Most of the available land is owned by the national builders around here. You should be asking Toll and his pals about that, and why they are not on the forefront of this as they should be.

Habitat for the first time out here had to build attached housing rather then true single family. That is a crime in one of the wealthiest counties in the country.

And I will say I have designed many homes in northern va that many of you can afford!!!! Unfortunately not many today, and opening up the rest of the county as Barbara wants to will not make homes more afforable.

I am willing to guess Barbara's agenda since she does not work or profit from the developers, is she wants to upgrade the look of rt 50. A noble cause as we would all like to see!! The fairfax part is such as mess it is not going to happen in our lifetime though, just by building way too many homes and business's for the even proposed rooad system. Barbara needs to go down to Richmond and beg them for the money to build the roads first. Then develop as many homes as you want. What I am saying lets improve all the main roads first then build.

Lee, that's assuming you went through your whole life assuming you were going to retire and live only on Social Security income... SS shouldn't be anyone's sole income when they retire, unless they simply didn't have a choice to plan otherwise during their lifetime, because of health, socio-economic factors, etc...
