Ok, I am mad at myself but hopefully I will get over it soon :(
It just costs me close to $400 to neuter my dog over the weekend and then found out that this Humane Society offers for $70 only. I should have done this homework earlier.
Anyway, I just want to pass this information along to anyone looking for information about neutering/spaying at low cost.

We recently used the green sheet to have our dog neutered at the location in Brambleton (they're the Brambleton office of the Ashburn Farm Vet from what I've gathered and pool some of their resources - Ashburn Farm Vet/Animal Hospital no longer accepts the green sheets). Great overall experience and I think they only extra out of pocket expenses were the initial bloodwork (~$50) and the e-collar (~$15). Follow up appointment was included as part of the overall deal.

$400 for a neuter? What size dog do you have? And, can you share the Vet's name that charged that fee?

$400 isn't outrageous. Before we found the green sheet we priced neutering for our 80 lbs. boy (he was adopted) at a minimum of 8 places in the area (Ashburn Farm, Catoctin Vet, Leesburg, the place in SW, Clocktower, etc.) and all were in the $350 - $500+ range.

My dog is only 7 lbs, he is a chihuahua. I think $400 is the average cost for neutering from any Vet. Now I will be smarter for Microchip ID for my dog. I will wait and look up for that information.
If anyone has information on Microchip discount, please let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

We used a service called Spay Today. You can check out the website. It has been awhile, but it was very inexpensive compared to what our vet charged. You have to use a vet that participates in the program, the one we chose was in Purcellville, but our dog spent the night and had excellent care.
