Mailbox Vandalism

Couple mailboxes on our street were tampered with. Ours got bashed up nicely with some blunt object, the post especially. joy!

 

I hope it was reported to the police.

 

Our mailbox was vandelized last night around 12:15 am (we have an infant in the house so I was up). Police said there have been quite of few incidents in the neighborhood in the past couple of weeks. Just wanted to let others know to be aware.

 

What part of Broadlands?

 

Ridgeway in Southern Walk.

 

Based on the issues posted in the Forums, I am glad we do not live on Ridgeway!

Seriously, LCSD and our own security should step up patrols on Ridgeway.

 

LCSD said they were going to have someone take extra patrols around the neighborhood.

 

i stepped up patrols on Ridgeway weeks ago. However they can not be all along Ridgway and the rest of the community at the same time.
Everytime I see incidences here or on the LCSO report I use it to direct our security team. If residents would also send me an email or PM when they see something or have soemthing happen to their property it makes it easier for me to let security know and hopefully catch people in the act or before it happens.

one thing that comes to my curious mind is ..has the incidents along Ridgeway gone up ever since Village of Waxpool community got connected to Ridgeway.

The reason for my question is when I drive along Ridgeway, I see so many speeding cars making a right turn to get out of Broadlands ... I guess behavior is slightly different when you are driving in "your neighborhood" versus cut through.

Maybe my observation is slightly off.....

 

Of course it could also be Broadlands residents using the short cut to Belmont Ridge.

 

I don't know. I drive especially carefully in the neighborhood where my daughter goes to school and from my observations over the years the locals are often worse than the visitors.
