Join us for our Monthly Meet and Greet.
Friday November 17 at 10:30 am at the Broadlands Nature Center.

We will have activities for the children and information about our club.

MOMS Club is a national club whose members are moms and kids from the Broadlands/Brambleton neighborhoods. Activities and outings happen weekly.

Does the moms club have any branches/sub-clubs for working moms that have meetings and events in the evenings and weekends?

Moms club is an international organization that was created as a support group for moms that stay home full-time and part-time. Unfortunately, it is not available to mothers that work full time. I have heard that their are some groups for working mothers but I am not aware of any contact information for them. I would suggest doing a web search.

    cmbm and others--

Yes, the Moms Clubs are a national organization. They have chapters all over the USA and local chapters in Northern Virginia. Here is their web site:

    momsclub.org

Also check my postings under the thread--Helpful Hints (Sites) where I have posted all Moms' clubs (not just Moms Clubs but others) that meet in our areas. All the web sites are listed on the thread. If you need any other information--post question on forum or PM me. I will be happy to assist you in whatever interests you have. Mentoring Moms is what I love to do. There are several groups who meet at night (whether you are a SAHM--Stay-at-Home--or WM--Working Mom). The Moms clubs meet at night once a month or weekly and have clubs for all ages. Activities include: book clubs, coffee klatches, and other varied activities for moms, kids, and families (Dad too).

Good luck--with quads and twins imminent arrival--I have belonged to ALL the clubs and still participate frequently.

I also work will time, and am interested in getting together with other working moms. Did you find out if there is a group for us? I would be interested in joining a group like this.

Foodie - Thanks, I went back to your listing of sites, and unfortunately for me, most of them are geared towards stay at home moms, or women that used to work and are NOW stay at home moms.

I have yet to find a group that is for working mothers. It's hard to find activities and groups for my kids that are evenings and weekends. And since I'm a single mother on top of that, I can't attend meetings without securing a babysitter in advance.

So what I'm getting at is... if anyone is interested in starting a small local group. It doesn't need to be affiliated with a national chapter, but really just and opportunity for working moms to get together, meet, make new friends and share ideas. We should go ahead and create one.

If you haven't already you might check the Meetup.com website for Ashburn. There is another one for Loudoun.

Your kids' daycare would be a good place to find people to meet with. When my oldest was a toddler, I invited one of his playmates' moms to meet up once a week for dinner after daycare. It was when McDonald's had a ball pit so we met there. This evolved to 6 families, a few siblings were born, and the meetings turned into once a month at each others' houses. 10 years later we have all moved from Alexandria to Leesburg and we get together only once or twice a year, but when the kids were small the moms realized that it was OUR playgroup as much as it was theirs. Over the years we shared a lot and learned from each other, and really valued that time together.
