NEED HELP!Humidifiers recommendation

Any suggestions? So far I have tried Vicks V745A warm-mist humidifier,EE-5301 Cool Mist Humidifier, and Air-O-Swiss Ultrasonic 7144 . No matter how much I keep it clean - doesn't stay longer then 4~6 months. Either mist doesn't work, water licks, or whole thing dies. I bought all those after googling so much but no luck. Any advice for a good one?

 

I use the ones that are shaped like animals for my kids rooms (I don't know the maker, but hard to miss at Target). I've had them going on 3 years and they still work well. They're cool mist and no filters required.
