new middle school...

    I've been watching the clearing of the property on the site that will become the new middle school in Ashburn. It's adjacent to Newton Lee Elementary, if I'm not mistaken, and is set to open by fall 2014.

    Does anyone have information about where the proposed boundaries of this new middle school might be?

    Trailside Middle School...supposed to take from Eagle and Belmont ridge population...not sure of the boundaries

    I think it's (in theory) supposed to be a direct feed into Stone Bridge. It should move the Ashburn Farm and Belmont Country Club kids out of Eagle Ridge and Belmont Ridge.

    The boundaries probably won't be proposed until this time next year. At least, the new elementary schools that are opening next fall are in boundary discussions right now, so it's probably the same timeline.

    I believe high school and middle school boundaries discussions are this spring.
