I need advice. I had my house painted by Thomas Painting 4 years ago - but all of their phone numbers are disconnected. If anyone knows how to reach them can you let me know. The guy who owned the company was named Greg.

Anyway, I think I am going to need a current recommendation for a house painter because I need some bedrooms painted. Anyone have any ideas....

I also need to know if anyone has a recommendation for a good company to go with for new windows. Our townhouse is 20 years old and we need new windows - any thoughts???

Ronald Jiminez 703-932-0551, He also works with Jim from time to time. He and his crew have painted most of my house as well as installed higher baseboards and crown molding. He is there when he says he will be. None of this stuff where they come for 2 days and then go to another house for 3 and then come back to you.

My mom just had all of the windows in her house replaced. She worked with Russ at Long Windows (longfenceandhome.com/long_windows.cfm) and is absolutely THRILLED with the results. Russ can be reached at 703-901-4983. Please mention my mom's name (Beth Comeau) if you call him. My mom also said you can stop by and look at her windows. PM me for her address!

    Thanks,
    Kelly

Make sure to put in GOOD windows...you know so it doesn't sound like the cars driving down your street are inside the house, or hear the people talking outside - before you actually see them walk by! Or...on our street also, the flag line bashing against the pole at Mill Run or the ping pong of the tennis balls at 11pm at night when it's warmer.

We had Builder's Siding install our new windows by Revere (Berkshire Vinyl Windows). Larry McCarthy is great to deal with. We have used them in the past for trim wrapping all of the wood trim on our house so that we no longer have to deal with exterior trim painting. They also installed all new shutters on our house.

We have used Let's Roll Painting and they did a superb job on our bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Lester is the owner and he is very responsive and hands on. It is a local Ashburn small business.

Thanks everyone I really appreciate the advice. I currently have those lovely windows where you can hear people talking before you can even see them!!
