    Hi all,

I keep getting "page cannot be displayed" and timeout errors. And the hubby is still noticing DNS issues too. Is it just us, or has everyone been having issues with Adelphia these last few days?

It's been wicked slow. I even ran a ton of tests to see if someone had hacked into my system. I'm about ready to re-build my machine. Oy! What fun!

    Thanks!

It's not just you... try adding 24.51.159.134 to your primary DNS resolver and see if that helps. Adelphia has some things to work out.

OK I give up, I have had the same issues with my Adelphia Internet. At times my connection is lost and I have a tough time getting back on eventhough all the lights are on on my modem. So a little plainer, what did you suggest in the previous response. Thanks.

in XP, go into network connections, then your LAN adapter, then double click TCPIP and look for the DNS settings... it probably says "obtain dns addresses automatically".... uncheck that and put in the IP pictor mentioned..... or if you use a router... you should be able to override it in the web interface somewhere....

24.51.159.130 - 24.51.159.135 are the DNS servers they have here...

Yep... noticed it last night too. It's still faster than the speeds before the upgrade (for me).

    2005-03-22 18:57:03 EST: 4596 / 853
Your download speed : 4707069 bps, or 4596 kbps.
    A 574.5 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 873489 bps, or 853 kbps.

On Premier and 'normal' post upgrade has been 5800-6300 kbps down.

I did test after test last night and the results are very intermittent, even on different bandwidth testing sites. It could either be bandwidth issues or packet loss. I have been having packet loss problems for some time, though not bad enough to call them and talk to a "Level 1 " technician.....[xx(] just to have them tell me its my equipment again...LOL.
