I've read through the old posts and I am hoping you can recommend a gynecologist. Not interested in 'baby doctors', this is for myself and my 18 year old baby! I appreciate your suggestions! a Navy Wife x23 years...

    Hi.

When I moved here, I was pointed in the direction of Virginia Women's Health Associates; practice head is Dr. Camilla Hersh. She and her doctors are some of the very best in the area, have been highly rated, and highly respected. Their main office is in Vienna, but have an office at "The Pavillion" at Reston Hospital...(703) 435-2555.

Unfortunately we had to get referred to a new OB/GYN as she dropped our insurance (United Health Care), so now we are going with Dr. Denita Speyer and Dr. Diane Barrett who incidently have their Reston office across from Dr. Hersh's. Address is as follows: 21475 RIDGETOP CIR STE 360, STERLING, VA 20166 Ph: 703.430.8844.

All are very good and my friends have been very happy there. Hope this helps.

My wife is experiencing a poor service from Dr. Speyer office. She is not happy with them because they are always busy, don't have time for you. My wife always has to wait at least half an hour after her appointment for quick check up. They keep changing her doctor frequently. When we call for information they keep us on hold for at least 10 min, I don’t mind waiting if I can get a satisfactory answer, then they don't have time to answer our questions and explain to us what is going on. When my wife was expected a call from them to go to the hospital because she passed her due date they never called us to let us know what to do or when to go to hospital. My wife was very upset and stressed and she needs to know when it will be over for her. They keep us in dark and we felt that we are trapped. Twenty four hours later, I called and asked the nurse for an update, she said "I called you yesterday and I left a message." In fact she never called because we were home all day and we checked our phone log and messages. If they really care they will try to call us back and make sure we got the message that we have to get ready to go to hospital or not. For the above reasons and other little things I did not mentioned here I will not recommend this office. :nono: :nono::nono::nono::nono:
