Can anyone recommend a good obstetrician/gynecologist that delivers at Loudoun or Reston hospital? And which hospital do you recommend?

    Thanks in advance!

Loudoun OB/GYN - Dr. Choudhry and Dr. Park are terrific. They've delivered my three kids and will deliver the fourth at Loudoun. Dr. Roberts and Dr. Thompson are also in the practice, but I hardly see them (it just happens that way). www.loudounobgyn.com

I actually switched to them when I was 7 months pregnant with my first. I used to go to Women's Physicians, but to them I was just another belly to make money. I couldn't stand that practice.

I haven't delivered at Reston, but Loudoun's Birthing Inn is very good. There may be not so great things to say about Loudoun's ER, but their Birthing Inn is top notch. The only experience I've had with Reston is that they lost power when my brother's daughter was born there and the nurses forgot about them. My sister-in-law didn't have a nurse check on her or the baby until a full 24 hours after she was born. www.thebirthinginn.org

I'll second the thumbs down to Womens Physicians. I had really bad, avoidable complications with my delivery that could have been prevented by better medical care.

My OB/GYN is Dr. Roopa Duggal of Loudoun Women's Health. She is fantastic!!! I was scared to change doctors (from Dr. Andersen's group in Fairfax - that place just didn't seem to care about the problems/complications I was having... their patient care was horrible and staff was very rude) in the middle of my pregnancy but I am so glad I did. She is a fantastic doctor with a great bedside manner.

I delivered my son last year at Loudoun's Birthing Inn. It was great! Much better than my first delivery at Fairfax Hospital.

I'm putting my recommendation in for Loudoun OB/GYN (Choudry, Parks, Thompson, etc.). I had a great experience there after a horrible delivery with another OB in Fairfax. I have several friends who go there and they have all had good experiences there too.

I'm going to post in the business section of this forum, but I thought I would let you all know that I sell Moby Wraps. www.mobywrap.com
They are the cadillac of baby carriers and allow you to distribute baby's weight across your entire back (instead of pulling at your shoulders like a Bjorn!).
They are super cozy, chic & stylish. Call me if you want to try one!

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dr. Chauncey Stokes at Women's Healthcare Associates in Lansdowne. He is the most gentle, kind, patient and welcoming doctor I've ever met. He is WONDERFUL! I've recommended him to ALL of my friends, and a lot of them have switched to him and love him too! Best wishes in your search!:)
