Opinion / Advice on University of Maryland?

    My daughter is currently looking at universities in North East (NY/MASS/Vermont) as well as Virginia (UVA, W&M, GMU and others)....

    Question is: We are wondering if University of Maryland a good school in the Political Science/Public Policy program as well as Environmental Science? How reputable is it and it seems like its a VERY large school.....so not sure if my daughter will like that ...she seems to like small to mid-size schools.....

    We are also looking at Georgetown University and American University in DC as well.

    Thoughts?
    Experience?
    Recommendations?
    Advice?
