Tuscarora Mill (aka: Tuskies) is very good with great menu and bar (big wine list). They have a cafe section in the bar area, the sit down restaurant section and a back room. They're also connected to the downstairs bakery/deli that I forget the name to but their breads are awesome. Great for a date night and quiet evening.

Light Foot is also good & nice ambience. I haven't been here in a while so not sure how good it is. I always like Tuskie's food better.

I am a fan of Lightfoot. It's on King Street across from the courthouse. I really like the ambiance.

I've heard Tuscarora Mill is really good, too.

We went to Tuskies twice (in five years living here). Weren't overly impressed either time. Only bad experience at Lighfoot was on Valentine's -- really bad. But other experiences there were great. But both of them are high end. Other interesting expereinces in Leesburg include casa gonzales<?> on catoctin circle across from Ben Franklin and Leesburg Pharmacy or near the motorcycle place (depending on what you use as landmarks <g>), pretty good mexican. and the new instantiation of well-known Herndon's Zeferelli's (mixed reviews, still getting the kinks out)

I think Tuscarora Mill is great, it's really refreshing to get an independent restaurant without going to the run of the mill chain restaurants. I 've always had great meals at the TM and have been going there since they opened (about 15-20 years ago?). I would highly recommend it.

It smells funny in the Leesburg Zefferellis. We thought it had a musty smell in the resturant. The food was quite good, too much food, but very good. Great atmosphere, quiet and the wait staff were very good.
    We love Casa Gonzales.
Red Robin is way to noisy (and all those tvs?? that is just wrong) we will never eat there again. They made several mistakes with our order... in the end the manager gave us a free dinner for the four of us for the future (we didn't even complain about the mistakes...). We gave the certificate away b/c we just did not want to go back there. Horrible atmosphere.

If you go out Rt7 towards leesburg, there is a white house restaurant on the right before you get to the outlets --- it seems pretty fancy... has anyone ever been there?

If you are looking for someplace in Leesburg to eat a nice, quiet, sit-down meal, try the Blue Ridge Grill. The same guy(s) that started Sweetwater opened this place. It's nothing fancy but the food was very fresh-tasting and delicious. Don't know if I would recommend taking the kids....

In case you want to check it out, it's over by the outlet mall where the old Applebees was behind the Sheetz on Rt 15 North.

If you enjoy French food, I highly recommend the Eiffel Tower. The owners (and more importantly, the Chef) are from France and prepare excellent dishes with daily specials as well as an outstanding wine selection. They also serve their own special mix of "raspberry champagne." The desserts are a work of art. The decor is tasteful and tables are not too close together. One should probably call for reservations on weekends but weeknights are not typically a problem.

They also have a room in the upper level if one wishes to hold a private party or reception there and they will also do catering in the home.

    Bon Appetite!
