Loudoun County planners have recommended denying the massive proposed Greenvest project in Dulles South. Full details are in the Washington Post but this quote says it all for me:

Imagine what these homes will do to commuter traffic on Rt. 50.

Snow continues to promote this development without addressing why it makes sense when county roads would be overwhelmed by 55,000 daily trips. Fact is that Greenvest proposed road projects would primarily benefit those who would live in these developments and there is no evidence they would benefit the district overall given the large amount of additional traffic created. By right development will NOT produce anything close to this number of homes:

    1. All the available land won't be developed as residential homes by right
    2. Even if all land were developed, it is only zoned for less than 1/4 of the homes proposed by Greenvest.

I hope that Broadlands residents are paying attention to how Snow (our rep on the BOS) is promoting this project without regard for the impact on traffic and quality of live here in the county.
