Does anyone know what plans the developer has for the plot of land on Broadlands Boulevard on the other side of the Greenway from the Safeway shopping center (where the "future home of senior services..." sign is)? I drove by there the other day and saw a Public Hearing sign to reduce a buffer and rezone from commercial to residential. Public Hearing is 11/15@6pm, so I guess I can find out there, but was wondering if anyone had the inside scoop...

The plan to rezone this area from commercial to residential has always been there. This is the land for the senior housing area, and Van Metre, at the last developer's update, has said they are going forward with that.

There was also proffers for a firestation and library there, but neither wanted the area. VM is going to build the senior housing, but as part of the rezoning, I believe they need to get OK to reduce the buffer from a size required by commercial zoning, to that required by residential.
