question: what kind of trees---

    line most of our streets? i'm talking about the ones that now have little red buds on them that will bloom into pinkish whitish flowers which will lead to weeks of miserable sneezing and red eyes for yours truly... :)

    Every section has different street trees, but it sounds like what you are describing is a redbud...they are one of the first trees to flower in spring.

    chickacoan for example. redbud sound like an appropriate name... the flowers fall away after a short time, yet the pollen and misery for this allergy sufferer remain!

    Those are my very most favorite trees and I had my husband put one in our yard after we moved in. I'm from the North and we don't have those beautiful trees up there and I just love them. They're SO pretty.

    i love the trees with the big waxy leaves that are deep green on one side and brown on the other... gorgeous.

    Yes, I can always tell when the redbuds bloom - even though I can't see them because my eyes swell shut. I do love Spring, but it doesn't love me.
