In response to your question--we installed radiant heating in all our baths when we built our home over 5 years ago. If you are not a "DIY" (Do-It-Yourself) kinda a guy--then yes, you should get a plumber and possible a Heating and Air team for advice. Depending on what type of floor system you have currently, you will need perhaps a new subfloor. If using radiant system under tile, stone, or laminate tiles/flooring--special care needs to be taken. Home Depot in some stores-has DIY radiant floor systems.

Here is a web site and link for your perusal--

Ezinearticles.com is a great e-magazine site that answers all types of homeowner questions. I was a sales manager (in a former life) at Ga. Pacific and know of which I speak. Also, my hubby installed a radiant system recently in our children's play area in our basement. Some floor systems are laid out in grids and intersecting points. You might also look at tankless hot water heaters (recirculates hot water --electric and gas systems available). We have such a whole house system with a booster for gas heat and water. Bosch and Rinnai are largest companies that manufacturer these systems. They have the best product lines. Anymore questions--feel free to ask--hubby can help if needed.
