I have a basic generic refrigerator in my garage - no ice maker and no special features; just your basic refrigerator/freezer.

There is a constant drip of water on the inside of the refrigerator that drips down onto the shelves and into veggie drawers (seems to come from the freezer). I know this isn't condensation - it's way too much water.

Can anyone tell me what this is? and how I can fix it?

It could be the defrost drain is clogged and backing up, check that.

Also, it could be your garage is too hot and the compressor for the freezer can't keep up and things in there are thawing out.

It's most likely that the drain on the backside is clogged. Its supposed to discharge outside into a tray in the bottom. We had a similar problem before. I cleaned the clogged drain pipe and that fixed it.

Thanks for the input - I'll check into it.

Is this drain pipe on the backside (exterior) part of the refrig and easily accessed?
