I guess some people figure that Christmas tree removal means throwing it in your neighbors yard. Unfortunately it is impossible to find out who the rude jerk was that did this to us. So Tuesday is trash day, they won't pick it up because of course there seems to be a specific christmas removal day that we are not aware of, since I use only fake trees in our house ... exactly so I don't have the removal problem. What am *I* now supposed to do with the thing?

What is it with people? Can't they take care of their own trash?

Find out who put it there and put it through the windshield of their car. :)

No need to get excited...or destroy anyone's property. It may have been the wind. As far as what to do with it, Leave it there, the trashman will pick it up eventually.

It was very windy the other night and I saw several trees rolling around quite a bit. So it may be rude wind and not your neighbors.

Hmmm .. in some locations of the world, a rude wind can mean something entirely different. :D

However, what Latka says is correct, if the tree is put out with the regular trash on Friday, it will be picked up.

I would not put it through their windshield. I know of a few rude places I would put it though.

Maybe it was the wind, but if it had been my tree and I saw that wind had blown it into a neighbors yard I would have walked over and gotten it. That's just the right thing to do.

Thanks for the info Neil, it will be on the curb Friday. Tey left it Tuesday, so here's for hoping.

Maybe they didn't see it in your yard. Maybe they thought it was your tree. Ya know when a Christmas tree is not decorated it pretty much looks like any other tree and your neighbor might not know you prefer fake trees. Maybe you ought to relax....if you worry yourself over such petty things, you will end up very unhappy.

That's right the world would be a better place if we all"fume" over what may be an unintentional act on the part of our neighbors.

You can't assume every act is unintentional. Alot of people don't think about there neighbors at all.

Case in point: the steaming pile of doggie doo on my lawn. I don't have a dog.

Case in point: Neighbor does not use trash can. Dogs get into trash. Trash ggoes into the common area for a week. I pick it all up and find the address in the trash and dump the bags on their front door step. Next week still no trash can.

I used to let the little things slide until I finally realized that if I did not do something about it, it would never stop. The trick is not to fume over it but to have a rational discussion. Unfortunately, with the egos in play around here, it often degrades to the yelling and the screaming, then the people running and finally the sirens.

    I agree.

One time I was going to a neighbors townhouse here and as I was driving up, I saw his nextdoor neighbor standing on his porch with his dog on a leash all the way in my friends yard dropping logs. I checked the side yard and there were was dog crap all over the place. I told him what I'd saw but I don't think he did anything about it.

Homer....I would rather assume an act was unintentional than assume it wasn't. As for actually seeing a neighbor committing a rude or thoughtless behavior...well that's different and a rational disscussion is in order. Sorry... but the comparison of a Christmas tree that could have easily blown into the OP's yard with that of dog feces that obviously was intentionally left in your yard is bogus.

Oh wow, this is a funny discussion.
What about people that walk around the hood and dump their cig butts in my yard.
We have some some creep that takes the same smoke break every day and discards his cigarette butts in my yard. My yard looks like an ashtray.
Yes, and the doggie doo... we have plenty of that in our yard too.
I still believe we have mostly nice neighbors here in B-lands... but what to do with the slobs.... I dunno...

I just noticed a ball belonging to our neighbor's adorable little child somehow ended up in my yard. Not only that, but it landed in a pile of my frerocious, log-dropping doggie's poo! Now what am I to do? Those parents ought to teach their kids how to toss and catch the ball a little better so it doesn't happen again. ARGH!

Some people can be so rude! I'm going to talk to the HOA about 25-foot tall golf nets being installed on property lines.

(please note the sarcasm- this didn't really happen) trying to make light.

What can you really do about dog owners walking their dogs around and letting them do their business in some poor neighbor's yard ?? [V]

I would hate to be rude but why do they insist on walking their dog away from their yard .. and messing up someone else's ??

    I agree with you snoopy.
If I had a dog I would feel very very bad about allowing it to pee on someone elses property.
    I dont get it.

I wonder how others would feel if I put cat litter on their property...
