    **Important Citizen Notice**

SCC Public Hearing re High Tolls on the Greenway
Citizens are encouraged to attend and testify

    June 6th, 2013
    4pm and 7pm

    Park View High School
    400 W. Laurel Avenue
    Sterling, Virginia

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please sign the petition ( www.LowerGreenwayTolls.com ) to lower tolls on the Greenway. The State Corporation Commission (SCC) is currently investigating the toll rates of the Greenway based on Delegate David Ramadan’s request. VA Code specifies that rates "shall be set at a level which is reasonable to the user in relationship to the benefit obtained; which will not materially discourage use of the roadway to the public; and which will provide the operator no more than a reasonable return as determined by the Commission." The SCC will be holding the following hearings on this issue:
    · June 6th in Sterling at the Park View High School (400 W. Laurel Avenue) at 4pm and 7pm.
    · July 18th in Richmond at the SCC (1300 East Main Street) at 10am.
Delegate Ramadan will be submitting a list to the SCC of all the names of the individuals who joined the petition.
However, please plan to attend one of the hearings above to testify in person about your experience and the need to lower tolls on the Greenway.

Anyone interested in submitting written comments to the SCC directly may do so by 7/9/2013 via mail or online:

Distance-based, reasonable pricing is the way to go ... I just signed the petition.
