Hi, my daughter is 3 years old and currently takes ballet and tap classes at Baby Ballerina in Sterling. Unfortunately, the studio is shutting down this month. I'm looking for recommendations on ballet/tap studios. Something that is age appropriate and fun. Baby Ballerina was princess themed. Anyway, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!

    Creative Dance Center!! (http://www.cdcdance.com/)
It has a Pre-Princess ballet class for the little girls. We took the Princess Ballet for 4-6 year olds last year and it was really good.

Thanks! I just went to the web site and none of the classes are listed. Are they between sessions? Do they do fun performances during the holidays, like a Nutcracker dance? Thanks again.

You may want to go to the studio (Chantilly or Ashburn) and get a schedule. It should be posted online soon, though. They have summer sessions now and Fall Session starts Sept. 12. Competition team is now in the middle of camp. Yes, they have the Nutcracker the kids can try out for. It is a fabulous show! Did you know Dancer Magazine rated CDC as #1 in VA and I think #20 in the nation? It is our 4th year there and we love it! I have two daughters who dance there.

I also have a 3 year old and will second (fourth?) the rec for Creative Dance Center. She's taken the You & Me class year before last and took Little Tappers with Miss Vivian last year. It was an overall very positive experience and she will be continuing this year in one of the Pre-Princess Ballet classes. There were still plenty of spaces available when I registered a few weeks ago. I'd also like to recommend their summer camps too - it's a great way for non-competition dancers to try different styles to find where their interests lie.
