Is it against homeowner association rules to have street addresses painted on the curbs? Although elegantly etched in stone over our garages at the Southern Walk town homes, the numbers are virtually impossible to see. In our old neighborhood, private companies used to offer to paint them on the curbs, but I'm not sure the association would consider it aesthetically pleasing..does anyone know?

I'm sure it's in the HOA handbook. Take a look.

I don't want numbers painted on the curb in my neighborhood. I think it looks tacky. I have no problem reading the house numbers -- but I'm in a townhouse, so they are closer to the street.

Perhaps there is a way to give the numbers on your townhouses more contrast so they can be seen better? I haven't been over there to look yet... is it off claiborne or demott?

Chattycat is talking about townhomes in Southern Walk. The numbers are engraved in a concrete plaque thing over the garage and surrounded by brick. There is absolutely NO way to see these numbers at night and I can't think of anyway to make them stand out at night. We already have the tacky yellow curbs for the firelanes so to add the numbers wouldn't make that big of a difference.
