seen dog in brambleton

there's a large Alaskian Husky looking dog walking around on Explorer near Minerva. Later, he(?) was in the construction & I waved to the backhoe guy to stop. Doggie was dangerously close. I called to it. He happily walked onwards up Christopher Thomas Lane, then Explorer. It wanted to play with doggie I was walking but oddly kept away from me. All I could see was the Loudoun dog license. I couldn't read the other tags. Red collar. He ran up & down Explorer & then through the yards toward Frontier. He doesn't look for cars or trucks. He just wanders happily & cluelessly. I must return to walking doggies now. I sure hope the owner finds him safe & soon! By the way, he hasn't growled nor barked at all.

 

As an owner of a Siberian husky, I can tell you they just love to run away from home and roam the streets. It is their nature when the weather is cool to just frolic . They are clueless of the danger of cars and just dash around the streets. I hope his owner finds him before he is hurt, i know when my female escapes we are frantic!

 

yep- we had a husky collie mix that would run for days then come back like nothing ever happened... it's the wolf in them.

 

Hope he got home OK. I'll keep an eye out if I'm down that way.
