The Friends of the Gum Spring Library (FROGS) are conducting a silent auction on Saturday, February 10th, 2-5pm at Mercer Middle School, 42149 Greenstone Drive, Stone Ridge. Proceeds will benefit library programs, such as book clubs and the popular children’s summer reading program. One highlight of the afternoon will be SCREECH, the Washington National’s mascot, who will greet baseball fans and pose for pictures from 2-3pm. Then from 3-4pm legendary Redskin Pat Fischer will read to the children. Valentine photos will also be available for purchase, courtesy of John Albino. Children can color FROGS bookmarks to take home. Compliments of D.C. United, Major League Soccer posters will be given to the first 30 children who attend.

Donation include a Washington Redksins football signed by Ladell Betts, Washington Nationals bat signed by Brian Schneider, Washington Capitals puck signed by Alexander Semin, horseback riding lessons, massage services, wine tastings, and gift certificates and services from local restaurants and businesses.
