Last night we decided to try out the Sorrento Grill next to 5 Guys and Cafe Rumi. They advertise Mediterranean style foods which we like but they also offer middle eastern dishes like kubideh and kabob. We didn't want anything too heavy and Sorrento ended up being perfect.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated with an upscale yet casual feel. A beautiful tile fountain just inside the entrance helps create a nice ambiance. The real highlight is the food. Along with our drinks, they brought out fresh hot pita bread with a cucumber dipping sauce that was a perfect together. We ordered the chicken and kubideh combo plate and the vegetarian sampler plate. The vegetarian sampler was amazing! It was served with fresh red pepper hummus, egg plant dip, tabouleh, couscous, dolmades and fresh greens with a delicious dressing. The couscous was like none I had tried before. Almost like mini garbanzo beans but better. The combo plate came with fresh grilled veggies and was cooked perfectly.

Service was good considering that they seated quite a few tables after us including one large party. Drink refills were a bit slow but overall no complaints. They also have a really nice patio outside with a huge awning covering most of the area. We sat inside this time but in the right weather we would have really liked being outside. I am really surprised I have not heard more people talking about this place (perfect for you Redon). We will be back again soon.

while Sorrentos IS really good- they aren't my fave for Mediterranean, but they are DEFINITELY on my short list to review because their quality of food and service are above par. there are SO many great Mediterranean places in Ashburn- we can take our pick! we are sooooo lucky!

We go there all the time. The food is excellent and always the perfect amount. It may not be the best "Mediterranean" food, but it's a great atmosphere, a good price and it's never crowded.
