Stacy Keach in King Lear

    WP critic gave this a huge thumbs up. Said it's the most Electrifying 3 hours of Shakespear he's ever seen from beggining to end. Sidney Harmon Hall. See it if you can. Not to many big time actors ever make it to DC theaters.

    Keach had a small stroke a few weeks before this happened. Now he has a stent and he never once considered canceling this show.

    He is great - I saw him many years ago in (I think) Richard III. It was the biggest standing ovation I'd seen at the Shakespeare theater with the possible exception of Patrick Stewart in Othello.
