OK, so I guess we know where he thinks his constituents are. Wonder when he'll get to this side of his territory?

We knew where his constituents were when they voted for him. It wasn't a big secret. He picked up the ball concerning the light at Waxpool/Claiborne and promptly fumbled it. The only way for our voice to be heard is to show up and use it.

The least he could have done was show some awareness by having it at the Arcola Community Center !!

I spoke to Steve earlier this week. He is planning a community meeting, probably at Eagle Ridge, in late June or July.

I did make it to the meeting despite no directions from Snow and the address not existing on MapQuest. There were only 25 people max in attendance. Snow's presentation was very South Riding focused talking about road improvements and other projects he was getting funded for the South Riding area of the Dulles district.

Snow invited Rodney Huebbers, CEO of LHC, to talk about why they oppose BRMC. BRMC was not invited. Snow clearly is opposed to BRMC and wants someone to build a hospital across from South Riding near 606 and Rt. 50. It was not clear who was willing to build a hospital in South Riding. Huebbers did not indicate that LHC was interested. He did agree that Loudoun needs another hospital.

Huebbers claimed that 500+ people in Broadlands voted against BRMC and stated that nobody in Broadlands wants a hospital. Fact is that 357 expressed opposition and 318 expressed support with 79 people undecided. He did not mention that the HOA board voted unanimously to support BRMC. I would like to know why Huebbers feels he needs to lie about this. I guess the facts just don't support their position well enough.

Huebbers claimed that LHC was going to have to lay off 600 people if BRMC opened. He did not cite any specifics as to how they figured this out. He claimed that LHC has 1,600 employees (all 4 facilities) so I find implausible that LHC would have to lay off what must be more than 50% of the Lansdowne campus staff.

I am getting tired of all the distortions and sky is falling rhetoric.

Snow also had a lady there who was working on youth programs to try to prevent gang activity moving west to South Riding and Ashburn. Glad to hear that there are efforts under way to get out ahead on this issue.
