Yes, finally! It has only taken, what, 5 years or so? Now they need to install sidewalks on the townhouse side of Wynridge. There is no easy way for those folks to walk over. They either need to walk on the grass to the corner of Claiborne and Wynridge to cross over, or jay walk by cutting across the median. Hopefully this is in their plan too. Funny how now that they are building more along Wynridge the sidewalks are finally being installed.

TECH - you can blame the delay of the sidewalks on the government. Several years ago when we (the resident members of the board) starting asking about it - Van Metre did try and install them. But go figure between, VDOT, Loudoun County and others they werent allowed to add them. It would have held up their ability to turn the road over to the state.

The road has been turned over and its a different branch of VDOT now which allowed the sidewalks to go in... go figure.

Not sure about the sidewalk plans for the other side. I believe the new condo/townhomes will have them but not sure they will connect down to the existing townhomes. See if we can get an answer next week

Thanks Beahmer. Please keep us posted. They should definitely consider it for safety reasons. I have seen people pushing strollers in the turn lane for Avonworth Square, many times during dusk, because I guess it is easier to push the stroller on a smooth surface rather than maneuvering through the grass.
