I've been dying to try this restaurant for months. Is anyone familiar with it? The menu looks great, I want to try it all! Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Lori

wow i haven't been in years since my sis and i were vegan in the 90s... it was excellent then and i used to get something like general tso's tofu (comparable to general tso's chicken...can't remember what it was called...)? some sesame yummy thing... try anything there- they are a very unique restaurant!

my old boss used to take us there when he was springing for lunch. i am a card carrying carnivore but the food is VERY tasty- Sunny is right- the general tsao's is great- actually better than real chicken. it's been about 2 years but it was solid on every visit!

I used to eat at Sunflower a lot but haven't been in a long time. I'm not a vegetarian but everything I ever tried here was delicious from appetizers to entrees to desserts - it's all good! Just try what sounds good to you because it's all kinda weird stuff!

Ditto...everything there is delicious. It's best to go with a few people and share the dishes so you can try a little bit of everything!

My official report on it is....Absolutely delicious!!! It was packed with people but only had a 20 min wait. I had the Sunflower's Satisfaction and my husband had the Popeye's Favorite. Both were excellent. Even my husband, who was very reluctant to go, thought it was great.

There are actually 2 locations, one in Vienna and one in Falls Church. The one in Vienna actually was closer, so we went there. It's on Chain Bridge Road. The one in Falls Church in on 7 somewhere. They have a website with their menu and addresses for both locations

General Tsao Surprise has my vote... I also like their Udong noodle soup.

I second that. I have a friend who moved out of town many years ago. When she comes back to town, she make a bee-line to Sunflower and orders two servings of the General Tso's Surprise: one to eat there and one to take back for dinner! It's an awesome dish.
