So I just went and voted and it took all of 30 seconds--so empty! There were only one or two people at voting booths ahead of me, but no line... The election officials remarked that it had been a steady stream---but very light. Get out and vote everyone! :patriot:

In and out at Hillside. No waiting to vote a paper ballot. Couple people in line for electronic.

No lines at Broad Run H.S.

Very little campaign activity or signs.

Most interesting was when a women in front of me came back to the registration table and asked for the Senate ballot as she only got the Congressal ballot. Now there's an educated voter.

The official politely tried to explain the difference in term limits between the houses. She really wasn't getting it regardless of his civic lesson. She left very happy and pleased with herself.

I was voter # 279 at Hillside at about 9:40am. (paper ballot) My 8 year old commented about how empty it was. I hope the "steady stream" mentioned above continues!

This is why campaign ads on TV are the way they are. This is the average American voter.

Eagle Ridge - no lines, no waiting, no annoying pollsters. Just a steady stream of Patriots doing their duty.

    Couple of questions:

    1. Can we take our 4 year old to the voting?
    2. Can we take a photo as this is going to be our first voting in U.S?

    TIA

I agree with Kaos; Eagle Ridge had a steady stream of voters with only a slight line for the electronic ballot machine. Unfortunately there is a pollster but she was polite.

    Pluto,

Yes, you can take your (ahem, well-behaved) 4-yr old with you to vote!

And you may be able to take a photograph, too. I don't think there is a law against it, but you should probably ask the polling official first...

    Congratulations! :)

Thank you. Yep, my son behaved well and got a sticker too from the polling official.

One of the officials offered to take picture of me and my son.

And when I went, just a few were in line....
