    Description:

    The NRO's Director of Systems Engineering and Mission Success Executive (MSE) is implementing an effective program for mitigating risks in acquisition programs associated with shortcomings in the space industrial base, technical risk elements, and potential impacts to program performance, and risks in contractor application of NRO Mission Assurance Standards. A Technical Data Manager is needed to support MSE with task such as technical editing, archiving, collecting, and publishing analysis products generated by staff engineers.

    Duties:
    • Support a team of technical analysts to develop and define a product line of documents which identify, describe, and assess risks and potential impacts to NRO acquisitions.
    • Develop and implement processes and tools for effectively archiving MSE deliverables.
    • Manage the MSE SharePoint presence in terms of keeping posted technical data current, establishing permissions, and maintaining links to external content.
    • Coordinate with MSE Divisions on content, delivery schedule, and resource needs for individual information and analysis products which are timely and directly relevant to customer needs.
    • Set quality standards for documents, review, and enforce adherence.
    • Identify commercial sources of value-added financial and technical information that could be incorporated into MSE analysis products.
    • Coordinate with software development personnel to define, develop, and deploy user-friendly web-based databases and other tools for collecting and disseminating MSE information.

    Experience:
    • ~7 years experience producing and managing high-quality technical documents
    mandatory.
    • Experience in space or defense system design/development/acquisition.
    • Demonstrated experience with web-based tools and software used for creating, editing, managing, and publishing technical documents.
    • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to work multiple projects simultaneously over a wide spectrum of topics
    • Ability to accomplish responsibilities autonomously

    Education: Bachelor's in Engineering, Science, Communications, Information Technology, related technical field or equivalent experience (required)

    Communication/Interpersonal Skills:
    • Candidate should have the communication skills (oral and written) to convey a summary information in a clear and concise manner to technical peers, non-technical professional laypersons, and senior management
    • Candidate should be capable of productively and collegially interacting with diverse, multi-functional teams
    • Commitment to recognize, understand, respect, and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority

    Clearances: TS/SCI cleared at SI and TK
