Warning: Strange Solicitor

We were solicited for basement rental by a single mom wanting MRE school district. Not being an expert on the rules and regulations of the HOA, is that even permissible, sub-leasing a single family dwelling in Southern Walk?

We had a guy from a green pest company (can't remember the name) visit us several times about a week ago trying to catch us when we were home. He rang the door bell and we ignored it because we knew it was someone trying to sell us something. Then two hours later he came by again and my husband answered the door and the guy gave him an attitude when he said he was not interested in his services. He asked my husband who we use and my husband replied that he does it himself and the guy actually said "well I guess you get what you pay for" and left. Then he came back a third time and claimed he forgot he was already here and all of the houses look the same. This was in Stone Ridge.
