We moved to new town home few months ago, we have been hearing a buzzing sound, when we open water facets,( kitchen, bathroom, powderroom). It just started two days ago, is this normal? or how do i get this resolved?
    any help/guidance appreciated

When we close the faucet the sound just fades out, i could track this sound to some extent it is coming from the utility room, i see some vibration in those pipes when some one opens a faucet. we did not do any changes to settings or something like that..

should i call vanmetre customer service?

    thanks in advance?

as a general rule, I would call Van Metre on any items like this. First, it gets it documented. Second, it gets someone out there to take a look and document what the issue might be.

Because you are within your first year, I would rely upon them to the fullest extent possible.

    Newhomeowner and others--

Most likely the "buzzing" in your water pipes of your home is called "water hammering" . It is caused by air in the pipes and may require some thing called a water arrester.

Yes, I would also call VM and document the issues, etc. Your home warranty (if you have one)--should cover this plumbing issue. Any other concerns--ask and I will be glad to assist you if I can.

See the following web sites--from Readers Digest and other sources for more detailed info.

    Good luck--
