Job Description & Responsibilities
G&B Solutions, Inc. has an opportunity for a Web Technology Specialist in Linthicum, MD:

The Web Technology Specialist manages and/or provides services, such as Web architecture development, Web engineering, Web design, and Web software development, which permits the publication and transmission of information about client programs to internal and external audiences using Internet technology; this includes, but is not limited to, the use of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and component-based development to build Web service applications. Performs technical planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and management of Internet efforts, which may include systems/applications development and technical management of Web sites.

Principal Competencies:

Demonstrates the experience and ability to lead the development of Web-based applications, including online customer service applications that enable the client to deliver services online. Demonstrates the experience and ability to develop site concepts, interface designs, and architecture of the Web-site(s). Demonstrates the experience and ability to develop successful Web strategies. Demonstrates the experience and ability to design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code (such as HTML, JavaScript, and Java) in the design and programming of complex Internet/intranet Web applications and their interfaces. Demonstrates the experience and ability to work without technical oversight. Possesses superior oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables. Demonstrates the ability to upgrade, and maintain the client’s Web site. Demonstrates the ability to provide day-to-day site design and creation.

• Provides guidance and direction across components and acts in a consulting and/or advisory capacity.
• Determines the overall technical design and structure of Internet services.
• Analyzes functionality, security, and integrity of Internet services.
• Oversees development, testing, and troubleshooting of Internet projects, and resolves technical problems with the design and delivery of Internet services.
• Provides technical expertise, support, and needs analysis for Web software development and implementation of highly specialized, leading edge technologies, methodologies, and software tools. Manages efforts to develop and code Web-based applications.
• Provides technical expertise, support, oversight, and needs analysis for efforts to design Web architectures which includes the software, hardware, and communication to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
• Analyzes Internet services usage and performance statistics.
• Participates in the evaluation of new Internet services and technologies.
• Participates in the development and maintenance of Web solutions.
• Makes recommendations for enhancements, as needed.
• Provides technical guidance to junior-level developers.
• Monitors and analyzes functionality, security, and integrity of Internet services.
• Develops, tests, and troubleshoots Internet projects, and resolves technical problems with the design and delivery of Internet services.
• Manages efforts to develop and code Web-based applications.
• Collects and analyzes Internet services usage and performance statistics.
• Provides technical advice to Internet content providers.
Qualifications Required
Job Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in the areas of Web architecture development, Web engineering, Web design, and Web software development,
• 3+ years experience using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and component-based development to build Web service applications.
• 3+ years of experience with designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing software code in the design and programming of complex Internet/intranet Web applications and their interfaces
• 3+ years experience with HTML, JavaScript, and Java
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
