So where can I find some decent, basic ice scrappers for my car?

I've had Amazon Prime for over 2 years! For guys like you and me who shop Amazon for lots of things, it's a no-brainer! Heck, I usually make up the $75 charge just with our holiday orders!

You need to buy them in Buffalo (or any cold weather city)! Too bad - we were just up there for Thanksgiving, if I had thought about it, I should have bought a ton and then sold them here. :) They sell heavy duty ones that last forever!

Coming from Omaha, where the leading industry is Ice, I can recommend the Icescrapers that have a brass strip on the end. It won't scratch your windshield but really does a good job on the ice.

    Simple, cheap, and lasts forever.

    Yup :)

Yup, I've had this style in the past and its definately the best for ice. Which is why I've been hesitant to buy ones with just plastic-only blades. The brass ones work on the theory the brass is softer then the glass, so it will not scratch it.

edit: looking at your link, I think its the exact model I already have :) I had another larger one that is MIA.

Oh, oh that's it! I had one of these brass ones years ago, it was the best, but I couldn't remember how to describe it. Forgot the brass part. Thanks, I am ordering 10.

If I have any left after stocking stuffers I'll be glad to offer them up. No charge.

Perhaps we could take a survey and see how many people who like one (not for free) and place one big order?

I would be willing to buy two of them for our cars.

Totally agree! Oh! And we should get them imprinted with the Broadlands logo and sell them at the Nature center to help support the cost of our nature programs!

I use a credit card or a plastic ice scraper that I got as a freebie somewhere, but I can tell you NOT to use a heated ice scraper. This was yet another *bright* idea by phitnessfiend...

And no, that's not a you know what! It was a heated ice scraper that torched the seat of one of our cars.
