    Lee-
Darn, I still see your posts when someone quotes you.
I didn't trash Inova. Just pointed out some facts and pointed out the trash in their ad.
And I post on three places: here, TooConservative, Living In Loco?
How many places do you post?
Darn, I guess I won't see your response!

And you forget the points I have said and posted many times....the take over of Loudoun Hospital by Inova was a huge plus and benefit to the county.

Inova's fight for this is fueled by greed and money. Nothing necessarily wrong with that....just be up front about it!!

Lee I really do not care where else they post as I don't read it. I only read the Broadlands HOA site as I am involved in so many things HERE (recreation committee, neighborhood watch, newsletter, etc.) and often I can answer questions others have. But I have gotten to the point where am tired of constantly reading the same thing from you over and over again in many different threads with no data to back it up. You have an opinion - fine, but back up that opinion with something other than speculation. To me it is all about what ifs and conspiracies from you. I mean you keep siting the school boards information - I have not seen it so post it, I would be interested to see where they get there numbers. You keep siting this connection between Cliff, Erika etc and the BOS vote if you have proof I would LOVE to see that too. But until you start backing up your speculation with facts may I suggest you tread very carefully with your accusations.
Just so I am clear I deal with facts not so and so said so just because Cliff says so or just because you say so does not fly with me.
And by the way you have NO idea what my position on the hospital is and what research I have done to get to that position. My post was an answer to Mr. Rodgers and anyone else that may be ignoring you as to why Cliff's post was relevant, beginning and end of the story there is no conspiracy here.

Why so defensive??? What do you know that you aren't saying? Hmmmm............
Are you part of Cliff's conspiracy to control the BoS?? Hmmmm...............
Do you and Cliff know each other?? Weren't you seen at lunch together once??? Hmmmm..............
I hear you once worked for HCA, is that true??!! Hmmmmmm......................
Ohmygod!!!!!!! Another conspiracy by HCA to rule the world!!!! Hmmmmmmmm........

Okay, sarcasm off, but boy was that fun!!!!!!!!

On a serious note, it was pointed out that the School Board looks at population growth of children. What was pointed out but I'm assuming Lee ignored (but maybe he didn't. I can't read see his posts) is that the thousands of senior citizen units and multi-family units generate relatively few children. But I'll bet senior citizen units create a high number of hospital trips. Hmmmmm.....................

    ...just for your eyes Cliff:pofl:...

Lee - IMO I really don't see a difference with respect to Inova & HCA - hospitals generate revenue.

    Caveat:
    · Inova has a monopoly, does not add any tax based revenue and is going to great lengths to retain their market share.
    · HCA has the potential to create a synergistic landscape, ei bringing woefully needed additional f/s care to a densely populated area and will contribute "handsomely" to the LoCo tax base.

In a time of fiscal uncertainty (ei budget deficit) - IMHO the county will closely review the potential benefits (as stated above) and the potential negative impact upon reviewing HCA/BRMC new application.

Staci I am not looking for a war here. But the the numbers are from the school board at the BOS meeting last week. They said the biggest growth was in dulles south. Now lets see how they back up those figures. ANd that has nothing to do with their budget needing to be cut back. I don't think they are lying about their budget just that in these tough fiscal times they need to cut back. Many here don't have the cushy government and government contractor jobs with the incredible salaries and health insurance plans which are paid by my and everyones tax tax dollars. The school board is looking for a bailout in higher taxes. I wish I could being self employed go to the trough everytime I needed money to keep going. But that is another story!!!

My industry is going into a depression beyond the recession. And many were employed in this county and paid a lot of taxes here. Yet you don't see us looking for a tax bailout and many in my industry don't have a trough to go to for a cost of living increase many are living on way less these days then the cushy government and government contractors do and don't get a cost of living increase. We have to live on what the economy gives us.

Well enough of that, but most of the pro hospital people seem to have jobs that have great health insurance plans far far cheaper then what as self employed person myself can get.

I find it interesting when you all agree with me about a political topic I get hardly any flak like when I supported Miller over Snow now that i take on these boards an unpopular position it is an whole different ball game. Everything I say is just my opinion but I do take a stand for what I believe in very strongly just like the last election. I just want health care to be fair for the many first not double health care for the few until then. ANd so far as you all have not brought up any easily to identify statistics they are usually old and not current with what is happening in march of 2008 to support your position. I took the school boards view about growth because I believe they will be able to support it to the BOS. I guess we will see in the next week or two.

Cliff in case you forgot children are people that many times need health care more then adults, at least I have taken my kids growing up to a doctor or hospital far my then I needed to go in my adult life.

I needed health care myself far more as a child then I have needed as a adult.

Lee - Food for thought - my hubby is a govnt contractor (he is a founding member of a small company elearning firm that has both Federal and Private sector clients) and we now pay out of pocket $919 a month for health insurance.

So I wouldn't call that cushy as I am sure there are other self employeed folks who pay > than we do for insurance.

Lee, many? how about 2-3 people. And are they really trashing or putting forth truths?

As for trashing, you are the one who posts links about how corrupt HCA is that are years and years old. You also post what you "think" HCA will do based on.... well NOTHING!
Next you will post that 7-11 is building 2 new stores in the "south" so that MUST mean that they are growing faster!

So who is doing the trashing darlin????????????

I guess that Lee has knowledge about everyone's position on the hospital. I didn't even realize what Ms. Flynn's position was until Lee pointed it out!

Lee - (I am probably wrong) - but it seems a bit out of line to post Forum Admin actions, IMO its a bit inappropriate and I'm pretty sure it violates the following rule

    Quote:
    15. No Discussions Regarding Administrative Actions on the Forums. All discussions related to administrative actions (suspensions, bans, moderations, etc) are to be taken offline and not directly discussed on the forums. Members may contact the administrators for questions by using the Contact Us link shown at the bottom of all pages of the forums. If a member is unsatisfied with the resolution or reasons given, they can then contact the HOA and ask to have their issue escalated/resolved by a member of the BHOA Board or at a monthly BHOA meeting.
    Thank You

Lee - I think this is a serious infraction and is a blatent disregard to the Forum Admins & Users. Yikes
