I asked this once before, but you did not reply. Would you mind posting where you live! It's hard for anyone else to keep a lookout if we don't know where it's happening.

 

Hummm, is anyone else thinking of calling b.s. on this? I maybe totally wrong, but something doesn't seem right.

IF this is happening; I've got to think there is more to the story. Not saying it is right, just something else is going on.

OR the story is being exaggerated.

 

are you kidding me? how lame of an exaggeration is it to say my house was egged? if i were going to make something up i would be better than that. what else could be going on? we caught some punks on our property once and scared them off, now they have come back for more. I have better things to do than make up a lame tale on an HOA message board...

We live in a cul de sac near Chickacoan and Vestals Gap.

Well, I see AFGMs point, we all want to believe you did something to deserve the egging then to think the kids are doing it out of boredom or undirected malice.

But I believe you. I worked with thousands of kids at Kings Dominion and I have met some who are truly disturbed and I have met some that would do it just to do it.

The egging was retaliation for the first incident.

 

the sherriff just left my house and surprise- we are NOT the only home targeted right now! they have had multiple egging, vandalism and nuisance calls over the past several weeks in my neighborhood, and they are narrowing down the usual suspects to find the guilty kids. they know who some of these troublemakers are and it's a matter of catching one in the act to put an end to it.

all we did to deserve it is buy a house in a quiet cul de sac that makes it an easy target. there is NO MORE to the story. wait- maybe its punishment for making the illegal right turn off of LCP onto Waxpool... ha!

Since your husband was enough to grab them, can you give a description? Color hair, etc? You said under 15 - so we are talking middle school?

they were in hats and coats so he couldn't see their hair- he only saw the backs of them clearly, so unfortunately no good description, just white, young, and FAST.
he'd probably recognize at least one of the jackets on the street though- i'll get a description from him.

Sorry I saw this on the board and I just had to respond. Let me start off by saying I'm a 17-year old who lives in the Broadlands area (relatively close to your place, redon) and I just wanna say that it's obvious that you obviously did something to these kids (directly or indirectly) to tick them off. I mean, I myself was driving by a neighbor's house the other day, going 20mph, and this***comes out of his house and yells at me to slow down. I'm all for respecting my elders and what not but honestly, the lack of respect from the older folks pisses many of us off. Back to the topic, even if you didn't do anything to these kids, there's no need to obsess about it on these forums. So what, they were ripping off your X-mas lights, no big deal, no need for your husband to start WWIII over it. Since you tried to "scare" them, you can bet that they're coming back for more as they already did. Plus, did you ever happen to think these kids were probably totally smashed or smoked a bowl before they vandalized your house? Give it a break, drop it, and move on with your life.

"Being destroyed"? Please, the kids were ripping down some lights. Like that's gonna cost you $100,000 to fix.

oasis is either one of the kids who did the vandalizing and wants the heat taken off or he thinks that teens should be able to get away with something as long as it "no big deal". I think he must have formulated his "thoughts" after smoking a bowl of his own!

No Oasis, it it not ok to vandalize ANYONE'S home be it a simple toilet papering or worse. It may be funny to the few teens who do the vandalizing but to most it is not.

 

Actually no I think my maturity level is higher than TPing or egging someone's house. (Believe me, I did it when I was 13 and I thought it was hilarious) And no, sorry, I didn't do the vandalizing either. I think it's pretty funny though. And Homer, if you want to slash my tires, do it and see what happens bud. Speaking of bud, I don't smoke bowls either.

 

From the sound of it and the attitude, if you DID slash this kids tires his parents would just pay to replace them anyway. In Ashburn, it probably isn't pot, but coke... Pot is for the poor kids...

Man, I wish they'd bring back corporal punishment.
