New Restaurants in Broadlands!

If you review the most recent inspection reports, they have cleaned up their act. I guess with all of the grain and such stored at the brewery, you've almost got to expect a few rodents and bugs to be wandering around the kitchen.

 

The Bonefish customer service responded to an email of mine and said they are planning to open up their Ashburn rest in December of this year.

 

Just saw a sign at the Safeway (along Broadlands Blvd) announcing "The Original Steakhouse and Sports Theater" coming soon. It is placed where I thought they were building the Safeway gas station. Maybe it's not a standalone pad site, maybe it's in the building currently being constructed (?).

 

That's what makes the OD beer taste so good. Rodents and bugs!

 

Its still listed as the gas station. It was probably the only place where the sign would not get in the way of the continuing construction.

I'm guessing it may located at that end of the new section since it appears to be one of the larger units.

 

I spoke with one of the workers at the Original Steakhouse and Sports Theater. He said they are hoping to open Nov. 1st or 2nd. He also mentioned that they are going to have 21 32" TV's and two very large projection screen TV's. It looks like it's going to be fairly large inside - they have leased all but 3 of the units in that building.

Also, the Safeway Gas is making good progress right next door!

 

In addition to the Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, an independent restaurant, and a pizzaria (not a chain) will be going in as well.

 

Will it be smoking, non-smoking or segregated areas. If it does not have a good vent system, we won't go there.

they never seem to when I roll my turtleneck up over my nose......

 

Hopefully it will be non-smoking, but really doubt it will be. At least we can hope for a separated non-smoking section that is well ventilated.

 

With all these great new places coming to the Safeway shopping center, will we have enough parking spots?!

 

Any body ever go to the target shopping center in Sterling between Thanksgiving and Christmas? Big shopping center, lots of parking, 2 entrance/exits.... At least the retail stores at our shopping center aren't the same kind..(even ignoring that most of theirs have now closed) But can you imagine getting in and out?

Did it once 4 years ago and will never do it again!!! Went in on a Saturday in December. It took me 30 minutes to get out!!!
