maybe they were pointing the spotlights at his house ;)

I mean.. by definition.. the spotlight is a FOCUSED light.. and from what I saw they were pointed at the sky.

Maybe Homer is really the man up stairs :)

I sent in a letter to Saul forwarding complaints about the spotlight and the Tanning van. I was at the shopping center last night. There was no spotlight and I never did see the van.

Complaining about a spotlight in use 1 night for a grand opening of fine dining restaurant that most communities would kill for and we (the royal one) have to forward complaints. No wonder people I talk to about our community think we are a bunch of spoiled, elitest snobs.

I think complaining is appropriate WHEN SOMETHING IS ACTUALLY A PROBLEM! When something happens once, it is an event. If it recurs, it is then a problem.

    EDIT:
VACLIFF - my post is not about your forwarding the complaint to Saul but the events that led up to it. Cheers

Well, if you argue just b/c you don't like me then you will reap what you sow. This neighborhood will become crap (dog that is) and you'll have to live with it. This wasn't the first time, this has been escalating but what do you care, you only care about yourselves. Whatever.

This statement comes from the person who craps on everyone that doesn't agree with him.

Don't agree with Homer for personal reasons? He'll call you a name. Don't agree with Homer for factual reasons. He'll avoid your facts and call you a name.

    Give me a freakin' break.

I like how in the past Homer called Saul a good neighbor (this is of course before they even built out phase II..) and how quick he is to change that view. I'm curious to where this 'escalation' can be shown. If we are going on the Atlantic Tanning van (which was there.. what? 2 days or so?) and now this. I think we are realllly stretching it.

I kinda compare that to the people who complain about the trees being ripped out for new homes.. when the homes were slated to be there all along (read: construction yet to be complete).

Here's the response I received regarding the spotlight and tanning van:

    Good Morning:

First let me introduce myself... My name is Julie, and I am the new property manager for the Broadlands Village Shopping Center.

I have spoken with the Tanning Salon and they were informed by the county not to place their van on the corner of Broadlands Blvd and Claiborne Pkwy. The monument sign has been temporarily fixed due to the fact that the permanent sign will be installed in the next few months. Also, the spot lights were from a tenant and the issue has been resolved. There will be no spot lights on the property.
Hopefully this answers most of the issues.
