Stabbing at Ashburn cafe in Parkhurst Plaza

Did anyone notice that there was a fight/multiple stabbing at the Tiger Cafe in Parkhurst Plaza on Friday night?

All of the people who were stabbed were from Sterling and performing at some kind of rap competition. I think the Tiger Cafe is located in what was previously a Thai restuarant a couple doors down from the Buffalo Wing Factory. I checked out their web site and its billed as a hookah bar and late night lounge with live entertainment: http://www.tigercafelounge.com/

If they are appealing to rappers who don't know how to behave or other violent troublemakers, we don't need them in our community. I hope the Ashburn Farm HOA and Sheriff's dept. put some pressure on them to clean up their act before there is another incident. I also hope that BF Saul takes note of this when leasing out the Broadlands Center.

Are you serious? Couldn't something like this happen at any bar? How would the HOA put pressure on these "rappers who don't know how to behave or other violent troublemakers"? I seriously doubt the business had anythng to do with the fight that took place. While I am not interested in a smoking bar, I'm pretty sure this is a common middle eastern thing.

 

Please take notice that Saul Centers, Inc. is NOT leasing out to the Tiger Cafe at the Broadlands Center. A rumor has circulated around the website and I would like to end the rumor. Saul Centers, Inc. takes extreme measures when searching for new tenants, thank you for the heads up.

I notice you're fairly new here and may not be aware that I lived there for quite a while before moving...and as a former resident I can deduce that sterling + stabbing usually = some kind of latino gang beef, which is why I asked.

Since you seem to be into stereotypes...how big of a confederate flag do you have on your pick-up truck? Does it also have a bumper sticker that says, "I'd rather be shootin' Yankees".

 

Regardless of the color of their skin or the origin of the DNA I support Skins Fan that violent troublemakers should be notified that they are NOT welcome here.

You know, I haven't given it much thought but I think Violent Troublemakers probably know they are not welcome pretty much anywhere.

 

If you read a story about a southerner, you really can't deduce that they have a pickup truck with a confederate flag on it....but if you read a story about a pickup truck with a confederate flag on it, then yes...the odds are extremely good that a southern redneck was involved. Assuming such doesn't make you a racist or bigot. This same formula goes for any race/creed/color.

What are you talking about...they asked me if how big my supposed confederate flag is on my supposed pickup truck. It was a silly 'Well, I'm going to try to stereotype you!' rhetorical question with nothing to do with violence.

Completely serious. I don't accept this kind of violence in our community.

When was the last time we had a knife fighting brawl at an Ashburn bar? Fist fights happen in bars but this kind of violence is not common and should not be ignored.

The business is absolutely responsible for the behavior of its customers on its premises. I am saying that pressure should be applied on Tiger Cafe by the community and police not to host events that attract violent people AND to hire security to ensure that this won't happen again.

I am not bothered by hookah's or rappers, only the violent customers. If hookah bars and rap contests draw a law abiding crowd, you won't hear any complaints from me about them.
