My husband and I went out to the wing factory a few months ago and on our way to it we noticed that the thai restaurant was something different- something with a belly dancer walking in the door. so we decided to check it out (not that we're from belmont country club- have you heard THAT rumor?!?!?!). Anyway- there was a small crowd in there that looked like a bunch of rough teenagers. The belly dancer was just sitting at the bar and wasn't going to perform until later- we sat for a drink and some pita & tziki sauce (cucumber sauce). The bartender was super duper nice- but the food was awful. We felt really out of place there and honestly I was really uncomfortable and almost anticipated some kind of ruckus. We finished our drinks and scooted on over to the wing factory and had a great time there.
I have been to hookah bars before and they were really not like Tiger Cafe. We agreed that we would never go there again- it definitely appeals to a young rough crowd. There are supposed to be bands there and i have heard people say that they had a nice time there- but I did not like my experience there.

Skins fan - and just how does a business go about identifying "violent customers"?

I am thinking primarily of deterrence and good common sense. Having security personnel there will discourage troublemakers. Ban any persons who cause harm from returning and press charges. Ask the police to patrol the parking lot.

Most importantly use good common sense when selecting entertainment. The owners know what kind of crowds they will attract and if they don't, one incident like this should be enough to convince them that they need to be more careful in selecting. I stand behind my previous comments about this not being common in Ashburn. Its not a coincidence that this happened at Tiger Cafe. They attracted the wrong crowd.
