Here's a thought, maybe a babysitter can be hired for the night and those bringing kids can share the cost.

We were invited to a kid-friendly, ADULT party a couple of years back (thanks Pats_Fan) and they hired a babysitter to watch the kids in their basement. It worked out wonderfully in that the parents did not have to monitor the kids constantly.

If my wife and son attend (not sure yet as they have a prior engagement) we will gladly contribute.

That'd be fine by me - just FYI - the bar is in the basement also, right next to the theater.

Thanks T8er. Good memories of that one!

Funny you should bring that up--that couple who we hosted the engagement party for are having their first child this month. We're hosting the baby shower for them next weekend! (They live about 4 miles from us.)

OK, folks! I have spent all weekend in the bar getting it in shape and addining finishing touches. It's right & fitting that we meet on December 7th as the theme of the room is "The Officer's Club". Most things on display (especially The Bar) have a rich past associated with them.

It should be quite a night. At this point I have about 25 folks who say they'll show up. There is a rumor that the famous Dalyn may actually be there!

The room capacity is about 30 but if we have to spill to the upstairs, well, that's how parties go, right?
