I'm looking for a great housekeeper for a bi-weekly cleaning. Does anyone have any great recommendations?

    Thanks

I've used Emilia Barahona for three years. She comes every two weeks. I have a single family home with two dirt dogs and it costs about $100 each time. Money well spent in my opinion given my lack of time and the fact that I can vaccum but that's about it...

I use Miriam and she and her crew do a good job. She comes out once every three weeks (no kids or pets). We live in a single family home and she charges about $85 per visit. Her number is 703-304-6240.

perhaps a community intervention can be called if you feel like you just aren't going to make it without your servant... ;)

We didn't ask you to. Everyone has different priorities for their time and their money, and, as this is still a free country, each gets to decide for him/herself. Ain't it great!

Thanks, all. I would clean myself, IF I had the time, but I don't. Thanks for the input.

As you noted, this is still a free country...being such, I don't need anyone to ask me for an opinion before I offer it. I find it comically hypocritical that you would admonish me for expressing my opinion in one sentence, then pull out the first ammendment in the next. Anyhow, I was providing useful information along with my opinion.

I actually do most of the household chores and cooking, and I suppose having no children helps. I get to enjoy my computer games when I get done. :)

Nope, no kids...My wife and I value our free time too much. Besides, there are plenty of selfish, shortsighted, inconsiderate couples out there overpopulating the world with their three and four children to make up for my lack of offspring.

Yah, brim. From your "measured" post above, it is clear that you like kids and have lots of respect for parents. Sure you do...

I still never said I didn't like kids, I despise the parents that choose to have three, four, five, or more of them so that the rest of the world will have to put up with them after they're dead and gone.

I have more respect for my parents than anyone else in the world, one of the many reasons for that is that they were responsible and only decided to have one child.
