The green smiley face after the sentence is indicative of humor, or in this case, irony . I think we're officially scheduled to get a 'shiny pole' establishment out here just before the Dunkin Donuts grand opening and just after hell freezes over.

Most of us are so lucky our children grown up or young are still with us.

You know what life will go on and girls will have fun and so will us guys and I wake up and look at that person that puts up with me and it gets better my two boys are still so safe and protected

Everything is good over here. I was worried that people might jump on me for my post.

 

Went by the shopping center today and there are signs in windows for Cold Stone Creamery and Potbelly. Also, the bank closest to the Target side says it is now open.

 

Makes you want to jump right over there to go to the sames places we have right here. It is a nice looking center. If AOL goes kaput or scales way back which is going to happen no matter what is said in the papers. There is not going to be many people left to shop there.

What I like to know is if we are such a hot area for retail why is it the same places lease over and over again within several miles of their other stores. Where are the rest of the retailers??????? Chevy chase on every corner??? ha ha ha ha

Exactly! Bring me something interesting... something that makes me actually want to bother with the traffic in that center! That said, I think I read that a Pei Wei is going in there, which could be of interest occasionally. But with Anothai and Cafe Opera, probably not, now that I think of it.

 

I'm still hoping that the rumor of a La Madeleine opening there is true. It would cover a lot of ground: breakfast, lunch, bakery, dinner, coffeehouse.

If we're going to have chain stores, what the DC area really needs is a good used book store chain like Half Price Books.
